Berlin - where the bear step-dances. A european metropolis in constant change, with that little something and lots of contrasts. There are many elegant boulevads and alterative quarters, royal palaces and tenements, wild nighlt life in the city and pure idyll in Wannsee, village-like life in Lübas and noble villas in Grunewald. Recurrent annual events like the Loveparade and the International Film Festival are only a few highlights in the city’s calender. The art and culture events are almost unmanageable. Events in the German Opera, in the State’s Opera under the Linden, in the different open air theatres as well as in the German hall are only a few of what you can find in the city’s agenda. The numerous palaces and museums like the Museum’s Island invite the tourist to make a culure trip. Don’t forget that Berlin is also a city where numerous fairs take place and also the seat of the government. Since Berlin was also the govenrment’s seat in old Prussia, numerous historical buildings and memorials can be found.
